A new nature at Habitat Fair.

From September 19th to September 22th, Sagarminaga Atelier presented its new collection "New Nature" at NUDE, the platform for emerging talents within Habitat Fair in Valencia.

"New Nature" is an artistic expression that explores the interaction between humans, industry, and the digital world in a creative synergy with nature as its core structure.

Gabriela Sagarminaga, the mind behind the workshop, designed the collection in a language that challenges the romantic approach often associated with nature. Breaking away from this traditionalism, she opted for a free, personal, avant-garde, and bold vision.

In this regard, this has been a demonstrative delivery of the workshop's aesthetic and conceptual vision, and a clear statement of its direction, where technology is not left aside but integrated to offer a fresh and visionary perspective.

The installation presented included two large-format pieces, "Gear" and "The Bubbles," featuring vibrant colors, using natural fibers and metal. The exhibition also plays with volume and perspective through various pieces, including a large sculpture, "Eroded Column," and a selection of furniture, including tables and stools of different sizes, known as "the monsters."

The sculpture "Eroded Column" stands tall, evoking the friction between the human and the digital universe. It measures 1.8 meters in height and is created from a wooden structure and carrizo fiber.

On the other hand, "Gear" conveys the depth and relief of a machinery axis, creating reflections. "The Bubbles" are crafted from esparto fibers distributed in multiple directions with reliefs and geometric shapes.

In collaboration with the metal designers at MIID, we've also ventured into the realm of furniture and created a series of stools called "The Monsters," blending natural fibers and metal.

With this collection, we aimed to showcase our qualities of versatility, design, creativity, and innovation. We appreciate everyone who visited our booth, confirming with their presence and words that this was indeed the case.
