1st Dibs selects Sagarminaga Atelier.

We love travelling and discovering new destinations. This is how Sagarminaga Atelier began; with a 6-month journey through 6 South-American countries, such as Perú and Colombia among others. Knowing other places makes us reflect on intercultural differences, expands our perspective and changes our way of seeing things.

But we can also visit other geographies, and even other time periods, through the material objects and ideas we own. This is the reason why we read, visit museums or listen to foreign music. In the same vein, crafts can take us to the place and culture that originated them.

Now, our contemporary pieces also fulfill this task in the US, which is to transfer our American clients to Spanish culture. We are happy to announce that we have been selected as a seller on the exclusive and prestigious US platform 1stDibs.

This selection marks a milestone in our trajectory because it is a reaffirmation of the value and distinction of our contemporary creations, of the pieces and installations that we have created with those interior designers with whom we have worked.

And it is a good collaboration opportunity between us and interior design creatives. We want to be in those places where our pieces are desired and represent what, together, we can create. Together we can cross our borders to communicate our creativity wherever it resonates.
