Wings Within: Hermés Amsterdam
Hermès, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Sagarminaga Atelier presents “Wings Within,” an installation created for Hermès Amsterdam Crystal Houses as part of “L’Appel du Large,” Hermès’ annual theme for 2026. Conceived as a meditation on journeys that begin within, the work explores how the call of the wild invites us not only to cross physical horizons but also to undergo an internal metamorphosis.

Suspended between reality and imagination, *Wings Within* reveals a universe in constant flux. Organic forms emerge, dissolve, and come together again, evoking the invisible forces that herald moments of transformation, discovery, and serene possibility. The piece reinterprets *L’Appel du Large* as a symbolic territory where the impulse to venture outward is directed inward: an emotional resonance that opens new perspectives and illuminates unexplored paths.

For Sagarminaga Atelier, this landmark collaboration with Hermès holds deep significance. Over the past few years, we have cultivated a close creative partnership with the maison—an experience we particularly value because of our shared commitment to uncompromising excellence, fine craftsmanship, artistic vision, and purpose. Each installation emerges from an intimate dialogue between two creative worlds, enriched through a continuous exchange of ideas. Working alongside the Hermès team means engaging in a sensitive and demanding conversation where every concept is nurtured and refined with a single goal in mind: to achieve absolute perfection.

Beyond being a one-time project, we see this work as a new chapter in a constantly evolving shared narrative that we are proud to continue writing together.

Every project begins with a conversation.
