We traveled to Washington State to show you an interesting project we completed at a dining venue: Telefèric Barcelona Seattle. Located in the luxurious Intercontinental Bellevue hotel and residential complex in Seattle, this space boasts a fabulous interior design project by the Trench Studio team, with whom we collaborated closely to create our decorative pieces made from plant fibers: six illuminated paipais.

The restaurant, with its distinctly Mediterranean feel and a breeze that evokes the heat of summer, needed a signature piece to give the space its identity. We designed a paipai that, after a dynamic creative process, ultimately transformed into a voluminous, expressive, and bold flower that commands everyone’s attention. The final result demonstrates how an initial idea can evolve—growing in scale and enhancing its concept—until it becomes a piece that not only illuminates but also inspires and captivates everyone who beholds it.

Our project brings nature into a modern, urban space, with the aim of highlighting a style that evokes the serenity and calm of the coast. In this project, our plant-based fibers and cutting-edge design come together to infuse the space with emotion.
